SOLOMON IRAMA

Solomon Irama is a Vancouver-based actor of Ugandan, South African, and Irish ancestry. He is best known for his role as ‘Phil’ on the Apple TV+ series Swagger, where he portrays a tough, disciplined center with emotional depth under the direction of Reggie “Rock” Bythewood.

 

Some of his screen credits include Cop and a Half 2, Supergirl, and The Grim Sleeper, where he appeared opposite Macy Gray, demonstrating range across drama and character-driven roles. Irama leads the short film Solomon’s Bee, playing a teenager navigating grief and a debilitating speech disorder, showcasing his ability to carry emotionally complex material with sensitivity and authenticity.

 

On stage, he performed in Welcome to Thebes with United Players Theatre, taking on the role of an African child soldier in a physically and emotionally demanding production. In addition to acting, Irama brings strong athletic ability as a competitive basketball player, along with skills in hip hop, piano (jazz and blues) and martial arts. His versatility supports both physically demanding and emotionally grounded performances.
